Photographer

A commercial and fine art photographer for over thirty years, Mr. Goodman has been very active balancing fine art and commerce. The former, for the love of the craft as a tool of personal expression. And, the latter, photographing product/catalog, still-life, advertising for the joy of collaboration, and for the challenge of creating dynamic imagery for business and the marketplace. He successfully combines the two disciplines (art and commerce) for many corporations and clients, both large and small.

Mr. Goodman earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in 1981 from the Rochester Institute of Technology. His personal and commercial work continues to be published and exhibited internationally.

In June of 2006, with the help of a maximum award from the New York State Council on the Arts/New York Foundation for the Arts Special Opportunity Stipend Grant, Mr. Goodman completed a 9 week artist residency in Kyoto, Japan, invited and sponsored by Machiya Club (a historic preservation/arts advocacy organization), and concurrently, was visiting lecturer and researcher at Kyoto Seika University.

He owns and operates his studio from a lovingly restored 1885 Italianate Revival house in Peekskill, New York.
